ASHRAM, T. KALLUPATTI
62ND INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS
Our Gandhi Niketan Ashram has
its own tradition in serving people since 1940. It has its own
decorum, because it was started under the blessings of Mahatma
Gandhiji. It serves mainly for the welfare of the backward
classes in the society. “Villages are backbones of India” said
Gandhiji, standing up his words, our Ashram work hard for the
Development of villages and produce Awareness along with
education from 1940, itself it started its duties by celebrating
our National festivals in an innovative way.
Our members visited several villages, nearest and around
T.Kallupatti and sowed the seeds of National Integration and
fraternity among them. It also devoted itself in the task of
teaching moral values, Cultural and patriotism among the
students of the remote places.
Going through this path, this year also our teachers had
arranged various teams and visited the near by villages like
Muthulingapuram, Kollaveeranpatti, K.Chathrapatti, and
Mangammalpatti .
Teachers are the custodians of the highest value and they are
the trustees of common welfare. Our Ashram always aims at
education both in quality and in quantity.
Bearing these goals in mind our teachers well-planned and
performed, their programmes in these villages.
N.Muthulingapuram
Our Tamil PG.Mr.M.Palanichamy presided a team of six teachers
and marched to N.Muthulingapuram on 15th of August. Village
president Mrs.Inbavalli hoisted our National flag.
Mr.M.Palanichamy, gave his inaugural speech, following him
Councellor Mrs.Subathra Devi addressed the people, later Village
Head Mr.Prabhakaran delivered his Special message to the people.
Later our Students joined their hands with Villages made a
Procession. Our Teachers gave their Speeches, Mr.Janagaraj on “
Duties of Parents “, Mrs Renuka Devi on ”Hygine” and Mrs Kavitha
on “Nutritious Food” Headmaster of the School and our alumini
Mr.Veluchemy delivered Vote of Thanks . Six Saplings were
Planted in the memory of that occassion and programme ended
Successfully.

K.CHATHRAPATTI
Under the
leadership of Mr.Muthuramalingam our Chemistry PG, a crew of 4
teachers went to K.Chathrapatti 4 KM near to T.Kallupatti.
Sharply at 8.30 our National Flag was hoisted by village Head
Mr.Veluchamy and he gave a welcome address, later they conducted
a Rangoli competition for the village ladies. Mr.Muthuramalingam
gave a message to the gatherings. Thus the programme ended
happily with the distribution of prizes and sweets.

KOLLAVEERAMPATTI
Mr.Raja Adhiyaman,
our Botany PG leaded a committee of 4 teachers to
Kollareerampatti. On 15th August at 8.00 am, our National Flag
was hoisted by Mr.A.Rajaram. Mr.R.Selvakumar gave his speech on
“Gandhian Thoughts”, Mr.T.Rajkumar narrated a tory on the topic
“Suthanthirathai Marakalama?” and “Marathiku Marunthu Theriyuma?”.
Mr.R.Raja Adhiyaman on “Indraya Manavargal Naliya Thalaivarkal”
followed him Mrs.V.Banumathy, on “Environmental Hygiene and
Cleanliness” later six saplings were planted in that village and
also our NSS Boys cleaned and repaired the path in the school
premises. Head of the school delivered vote of thanks. Thus the
programme ended successfully.

MANGAMMALPATTI
OUR Ashram was
prouded that it has given 12 Teachers, 2 PG Teachers, 4
Veterinary Doctors, 2 Engineers and 1 MBA to Manammalpatti.
Mr.Srinivasa Naidu had proudly said that he was a direct student
of our Founder. Thus our relationship with Mangammalpatti was
unexpressed in words.
On 15th August at 8.00 am, Mr.Srinivasa Naickar, Mr.Sangu,
Mr.Rengasamy school Head Mrs.Rajeshwari with 44 members
participated in Flag – Hosting. Later a big rally walked on
streets of that village, sweets were exchanged. Two saplings
were planted in the school campus and our NSS students made a
very good fences for the saplings.
Mr.Vellachamy gave a inaugural address. Our Teachers gave their
speeches in different topics. Mr.Chandrasekar on “Environmental
Hygiene”, Mrs.P.Vijayalakshmi on “Role of Parents in Children
care”, Mrs.S.Sethulakshmi on “Personal Hygiene and Nutritious
Food”, Mrs.Kamalam Sung a national song, Head of the school
delivered her vote of thanks and her school students gave 12
fabulous performances to our teachers.
Villagers sponsored light and sound facilities for us. Thus
Mangammalpatti joined her hands with our Ashram and our
Activities. The Destiny of India is being shaped in the class
rooms. Students are the future citizens of India, our villages
are the dense of epidemics and superstitions. So the progress of
the village is the progress of the country. Thus, these
celebration adds another milestone in our Educational
Activities.
KADANERI
Our primary
Teachers had celebrated our 62nd Independence day at Kadaneri (3
km near T.Kallupatti) Village Head Mr.K.Lakshmanan hoisted our
National flag and delivered inaugural address. Our teacher
Mr.Mariappan’s brief speech recollected “Ideas of our founder”.
5 saplings were planted. Later villagers, paid their gratitude
to our Ashram and our Teachers. Thus, the celebration was an
embodiment of service and patriotism.
NALLAMARAM
Gandhiniketan
Ashram celebrated 62nd Independence Day in a fitting manner. The
celebration comprised Nation Flag hosting, Procession arround
the street of T.Kallupatti, Special meeting followed by cultural
programmes.
In the afternoon the staff and trainees of Dr.J.C.Kumarappa
Institute of Rural Technology and Development went to Nallamaram
village under the leadership of Sri.R.Rajendran Principal as
planted earlier for celebrating Independence Day in the village.
With the co-operation of local people, trainees and staff
cleaned the campus of Puniyamoorthy Kovil and Karuppasamy Kovil.
Procession was undertaken around the streets of twin villages
viz Kottanipatti & Nallamaram shouting slogans on unity,
empowerment of women, pollution, Personal & Public cleanliness,
environment protection, education and gram swaraj.
Saplings were planted on both sides of the main roads and also
in front of the Temple. The trainees and staff were offered tea
by the villagers as a token of love. Inter-religious prayers
were conducted in the public ground which attracted the local
people as well as others traveling on road.
The special meeting was presided over by smt.Inbavalli,
President of Nallamaram. Sri.V.Sundaramoorthy Vice-President,
Sri.A.Pandi, Sri.Rajappa Rtd. Teachers and Sri.R.Rajendran
Principal spoke about various subjects. Sri.M.Manivannan
welcomed the guests and public and Sri.C.Palaninathan proposed
vote of thanks.
The cultural programme of the trainees was the centre of
attraction. The celebration came to an end at 7.30 PM. The
village programme was a nice experience to the trainee’s
especially from Meghalaya & Andaman and this will be a good
remembrance for them.
