Job Counseling Meeting-10.04.2010

 
 

A job - counseling meeting was arranged for the X,XI and XII std students on 10.04.2010. Mr.M.Swaminathan,B.E., MBA, Principal, DMW CNC Centre Perundurai, Erode addressed our students. The meeting was conducted in two batches. Nearly four hundred students attended the meeting.  Mr.Swaminathan gave a detailed report about the demand for auto mobile units-and workers. His statistical presentation through LCD Projector was very motivating and explanative. Students listened carefully with open ears and mind. The programme was very useful. It helped the students to know about the job opportunities in automobile field. Mr.Swaminathan's demo was very lively and illustrious. He has promised to offer free training to our students (age 18+) and observe them in their industry or help them  to find placement in other reputed companies. The programme came to an end by 12.30pm.

Sri.Rajan babu Director(H.R.D) Khadi &  Village Industries Commission along with three officers from Divisional office Madurai Visited the Gandhi Niketan Ashrsm on 09.04.2010 and reviewed the training activities of Dr.J.C.Kumarappa Industitute of Rural Technology Dr.V.Ragupathy, Secretary briefed the activities  of Gandhiniketan Ashram Sri.R.Rajendran, Principaln Explained the training activities with statistics through power point presentation. The Diretor  expressed his satisfaction over the performance and assured to  extend  help to create infrastructural facilities in the training centre.

Bhavana Chopra, Manager, Technical, National Skill Development Corporation(NSDC) Visited the Ashram on------- at our invitation  Sri.R.Rajendran Principal of Dr.J.C.Kumarappa Institute briefed the training activities of the Ashram. She assured to explore the possibilites of financial and other assistance  by NSDC to Gandhiniketan Ashram to organise Skill Training with job assurance.

 

 

   
             
      Khadi Saba Meeting- 08.04.2010    
     

  As requested by Khadi Mission vide its letter Ref. No.Khadi Sabha/2010 dated 29.03.10, the Gandhiniketan Ashram observed Khadi and Village Industries Protection Movement on 18th April 2010 The  meeting started with inter religious prayer at 10.00am at our gandhimandapam. The prayer which was followed by Silent Kisan Charka spinning.

   
         
     

Sri.R.Rajendran Principal of Dr.J.C.Kumarappa Institute of Rural Technology and Development remembered and explained the Bhoodan movement which was started and led by Boojya Vinobaji on 18th April 1951. He also elaborated the Khadi movement and its growth during pre and post independence period, and the problems faced by Khadi and Village Industries Institutions

 

   
     

ASHRAM FOUNDATION STONE LAYING DAY

 

   
     

Gandhiniketan Ashram celebrated its 71st Foundation Stone Laying Day on 28th March 2010. A special inter religious prayer was held at 6.00am at Gandhi Mandapam, attended by the teachers of GNGV Higher Secondary and GNGV Primary Schools, Staff and Trainees of Dr.JCKIRTD and workers of various units of Gandhiniketan Ashram. Dr.R.Venkatasaswami President of Gandhiniketan Ashram in his special message through Video Conference remembered the founder Sri.G.Venkatachalapathy and Sri.T.S.S.Rajan who laid the foundation stone on 28th March 1940 and advised the teachers and staff to work with dedication to achieve the Goals of Gandhiniketan Ashram. Later on the teachers, staff and trainees offered ‘Pushpanjali’ to the Founder’s Samadhi.
